AND SPEAKING OF ZOMBIES: The zombie Congress.  I’m going to guess in this case “first you attract them with chocolate covered brainz then you set them on fire is NOT the desired answer.

FROM READER KELLY PARKS:

May I ask a favor? Would you give my zombie web series, “Universal Dead”, a plug on Instapundit? And please mention that our Navy SEALs are played by real Navy SEALs (specifically, Craig “Saw Man” Sawyer, who has since appeared as a weapons expert on History Channel’s “Top Shot”). It also stars DB Sweeney, Doug Jones and Gary Graham. I wrote it to be my alternate sci-fi explanation for zombies (a virus simply doesn’t explain everything). The three episode series is here: http://tinyurl.com/bdodq5h

Done.

FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY ADULT LIFE: There are political signs in my yard.  My neighbors in this VERY blue neighborhood might never speak to me again.  OTOH my very liberal neighbor who always has signs, took her Obama sign (up before the primaries) down when the Denver reporter asked Obama questions about Benghazi and he didn’t answer.  Is she alone?  Who knows.  But in this case at least, the drip, drip, drip seems to have dropped through.

MONSIEUR LE DEFICIT SPINS: Sandy Versus Katrina.  … I don’t find this stuff amusing anymore.

SOME POST-SANDY PHOTOS from Hoboken.

ANECDOTAGE FROM READER MICHAEL WALLACE:

Was away from Colorado for three weeks. Yesterday while wearing my Romney cap, I had these experiences.

1) One of my yoga instructors told me she loved my cap.
2)Went to Floyds for a haircut…home of the multiple tramp stamp barbers…young girl cutting my hair said she loved my hat. Said most the employees were voting for Romney and that they are mostly young mothers.
3) Went to the yoga clothing store. TWO employees, both blond, young, beautiful, fit, said they loved my hat and couldn’t wait to vote for Romney. That they would say that at this store was a revelation.

If Obama has lost the yoga vote, it is over.

Interesting. Here in Knoxville I had a multiply-tattooed and pierced massage therapist launch into an anti-Obama diatribe a few months ago — she runs her own small business, and he’s killing her — but that’s not quite so unusual here as in Colorado. Well, we’ll know soon enough what all this means.

THE LAST DANCE IN DC: Last Dance.  Mark Steyn (the magnificent Mark Steyn) documents the morose fiasco of National Dance Day For Obama.  And Eliana Johnson has video.  Guys, after the vagina thing, I can add nothing, except YOU MUST VOTE THE ADULTS IN.  Now go do it.

PRIVATIZED DISASTER RELIEF? David Kirkham emails:

My sister in law is from New York and asked our family to send her items so she could send them to her family. Things are tough there. They requested gloves, batteries, flash lights, and garbage bags (among other things). We found 12 work gloves for just over $12 on Amazon! With Prime, shipping is free and we know these gloves will actually make it directly where they are needed (instead of donating $10 to someone’s administration).

All this made me think about Instapundit. What about this–can we send supplies directly to our fellow Instapundit readers to help out? Maybe you know a needy reader there who we could ship to? Perhaps they could even become a depot to ship items to that they could then distribute (not redistribute) to their friends and family.

Hmm. For this to work I’d need trusted people on the ground, and reliable UPS delivery. Not sure it’s doable, but it’s an interesting idea.
