MARKDOWNS ON Dell computers.

DON’T MOURN THE EURO: “The posture we should assume is to let the euro succeed or fail on its own, and not support it directly or indirectly though the IMF.”

DEFLATION? Money supply plummeting. “The plunge in M3 has no precedent since the Great Depression. The dominant reason for this is that regulators across the world are pressing banks to raise capital asset ratios and to shrink their risk assets. This is why the US is not recovering properly.”

NINA EASTON: What I saw at the SEIU thug protest at that banker’s home. “Has Captain Civility or his flack-in-chief been asked about this yet by any reporter, incidentally? Not that they’re obligated to answer for every sin committed by every crank on their side of the aisle; that privilege is reserved for Republicans. But after all the demagoguery about teabaggers gone wild coupled with all the finger-wagging at conservatives about disagreeing without being disagreeable, you’d think he might have thoughts on his closest union crony sending a rampaging horde to intimidate a banker at his home. But then, this is the guy who once told a group of financial CEOs, ‘My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.’” The precedent has been set. Don’t think people haven’t noticed. It’ll be pitchforks all around before this is over . . . .

SHOCKER: “The time has come for me to confess my torrid affair in 2007 with South Carolina nut blogger, Will Folks.”

AN ARGUMENT AGAINST LIFE EXTENSION: “Be careful what you wish for, Glenn! If they do indeed go faster, we may live long enough to be the ones who have to pay off the national debt. Bummer there, huh? So have a cigarette.”

SAVE VITAL GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS: Keep Smoking!

MICHAEL SILENCE: Stalking Palin For A Book. “McGinniss is looking to sell books. Nothing wrong with that. It’s just the way he’s going about it is downright creepy. By the way, have any journalists moved next door to the Gores? Not that any could afford to.”

HEY, MAYBE IF THE OIL SPILL IS OBAMA’S KATRINA THAT’LL TURN OUT TO BE A GOOD THING! Hurricane Katrina reduced levels of lead in New Orleans soil/children. “When the flood waters of Hurricane Katrina receded from New Orleans, some of the city’s dangerously high lead levels washed away, too. Prior to the Hurricane, 15 neighborhoods had soil lead levels higher than the federal standard. Tests done in the same places post-Katrina found only 6 neighborhoods exceeding the limit.”
