COMMERCIAL SPACE FEDERATION praises Obama’s new space policy. I think they’re right. I’ve surprised a couple of talk-radio hosts recently by supporting that policy, but — while I’m not sure Obama shares my enthusiasm for space development, really — it’s basically the policy that I and many other space activists have been calling for for nearly 20 years.

TUNKU VARADARAJAN: At Last, The Truth About Tea Partiers. “A new poll has forced The New York Times and liberal elites to admit Tea Partiers aren’t nuts—but rather passionate, educated, serious, and relatively prosperous.” Old spin — they were dumb ignorant hillbillies. Meanwhile, Sean Hannity — who was supposed to do his show from here live — has had to go back to New York on some sort of personal emergency, but the folks here, though disappointed, still seem full of energy.
